On 10/10/10, 350.org is bringing communities together around the world to implement solutions to the climate crisis: from solar panels to community gardens, wind turbines to bike workshops. We'll tell leaders: “We're getting to work--what about you?”

We at the No Impact Project are joining green collar trainees from Sustainable South Bronx to paint a roof white, and we'd love for you to come! Dark roofs absorb a lot of heat, so by painting them with a special, lighter paint, we can use less energy to cool them. That means less carbon emissions! Meet at 537 East 146th Street Bronx, NY at 9am (directions below)

We will paint from 9am-3pm, with a break for lunch

2 and 5 trains to 3rd Avenue/ 149th Street- Walk east on E 149th Street towards Bergen Avenue. Make a right on St. Anns Avenue and walk 3 blocks south to E 146th Street. Make a right onto E 146th Street and continue to address.

6 train to Brook Avenue- Walk north on Brook Avenue against traffic. Make a right onto E 146th Street and continue to address.

You must be 18 or over to participate.

Bring clothes you can get paint on, your lunch, and get ready for a great time!
